Nigeria English SSCE PREP NOTE;CONCORD

                We should remember that ,our expressions has parts just like our body. they are classified into ;
          noun
          pronouns
          adjectives
          verb
          adverbs
          preposition
          interjection
         conjunction
                 We shall be considering verb;concord
            
   verbs are doing or being words e.g is, jump e.t.c
                                                                 CONCORDS
                   this is the agreement between a subject and a verb .
                                                                   doer                action
                                                          The rule of concord
        It states that; a verb must agree with its subject in number [i.e singular and plural] and in person [i.e 1st, 2nd and 3rd]. there are some rules guiding the agreement of subject and verb. some of these rules are as follows;
1; when the subject is in the singular the verb must be singular and when in plural it must be plural.
     example;
     singular
    -The man is busy
    -Michael is very clever
      PLURAL
      -The men are busy
      -The students are very clever
  2;WHEN TWO OR MORE nominatives are joined by `and`,the verb is plural;
      -Bola and Ngozi are my classmates.
      -He and his brother have decided to go to Oyo.

-2;the leaders of  the gangs[has/have] been arested.
